I've got a prac exam in the morning and I'm going CRAZY!! Most things stick in my head, but I just cannot make all the Fowlers and Trendelenberg's positions and why they are used to STICK!!

Sometimes what helps is just hearing from other people...nothing fancy, but in the exam if I remember one of your comments it will help. The stupidest things make me remember - like a certain font, or a way of stating it. Crazy huh?

Anyone got any ways to remember these?

Specializes in LTC, ER, ICU,.

fowler's is up and at different degrees, therefore,...

trendelenburg's begins with t for toes (in the air)

supine is you are laying on your spine

sim's you are in a s shape position

fowlers begins with f for food (position for eating)

or maybe for fawl poop position!:chuckle

i hope this helps. this is how i learn things match it to stuff i can remember better.:)
