Hi all,

Im starting med surg soon and the scary thing is that i only have six weeks to finish the course.... nuts right? Oh well, thats the way our program runs -- 6 weeks med surg and 6 weeks Psych.

Heres a BIG question... how do you prepare for med surg in this amount of time? Any books for test taking you can recommend? Any website i can go to? Any advise to throw? PLEASE HELP.....

thanks a lot, as always.....

Wow! Just 6 weeks of Med-Surg? And I thought we were fast!

Anyhoo~ I wouldn't have the vaguest idea of what to tell you as far as books, but read your text. That should give you all the basics, shouldn't it? ANd study up on broken bones, diabees and diseases like Parkinsons and MS and such.... other than that, I wish I could tell you more, but I don't know too much either!

Good Luck to you!

6 weeks for med-surg? Heck, you can spend 6 weeks plus on the Cardiovascular system alone!! It's pretty much impossible to read every single word in your text. I used my med-surg book for reference and studied from my notes plus the handouts that the prof gave to us--articles from Nursing mags--always a great supplement to learning!!!
