I am reading it now, the first one, and she is talking about nursing school in detail. Is it really that horrible, load-wise? Heather

You guys have time to read? The only thing I have cast eyes on is my Med Surg textbook and that is a little dry for my taste.Maybe I can catch up before summer semester starts.

I went to school in the 70's. Don't know if school's better now, but hospital bedside nursing sure is 100% worse. The 70's and 80's and primary nursing was awesome. Pt. load much safer.
Read all of Echo Heron's books within the last year and they are right on!

Can someone tell me the title of the one where she wrote about her nursing school experience? Thanks

Hi Tonya, am reading it now. Intensive Care The Story of a Nurse
Thanks Dublin!
So, what's her second book about? What's the name of that one so I read them in order :) Heather

Condition Critical - about her leaving Nursing.
Tending Lives - has short stories - two of which deal with her last days as a nurse. And a section on the nurses during the Oklahoma bombing.
Gosh, that sounds depressing! I'm reading about her just getting started! Does she burn out that fast? H

She does make a point of stating several times in her books that her name is spelled HERON like the bird and not HERRON - it's possible that the dolt at the bookstore was looking it up under the wrong spelling. Just a thought. I know you can get these books on half.com and probably just about any bookstore can still get them for you if they really want your money, lol.

You should be able to get her books at or through any bookstore. I used to work for Barnes and Noble and Borders as a supervisor and unfortunatly some of the people who work there don't know squat about books and dont like taking the time to actually really look for an author, etc. Sad but true. Or go to amazon.com and order them off there. I have read Critical Care and loved it, I just bought Condition Critical and Tending Lives, I cant wait to start those!
