Hi, I think I'm in jeopardy of failling PEDS/OB clinical. I really want to be a nurse but afraid that I won't be accepted after they see that I failed out. What sucks most is that Im a SENIOR! I just want any feedback from people that failed out from a program (BSN) and got accepted into another program possibly another BSN program. My grades in previous semesters were decent, all B's and one A. This semester is brutal, so if I fail I would like to go somewhere else and not even repeat the class here..ANy support is appreciated. I'm so stressed out that I can't even cry...

All I can say is work your hardest at this school. Everyone may say it's a bad program, but is it? Truly? These people that are saying that, did they attend there or is it simply a rumor?

Either way, bad school or not, you will still graduate with the degree you wanted. I say go for it.... and grow where you are planted! :)

Thank you so much for your advice.:D You are absolutely right, everyone has different experiences when they attend different schools and just because they had a rough time at this school doesn't mean that I will experience the same difficulties they have experienced. Things may be different for me. As you mentioned before, the bottom line is if I study and apply myself I will get my degree. I must stay strong and stay focus on what is most important and that is getting my degree. Thanks!:specs:

Hi:

It is good to hear some positive information from people who have failed in the past! I did not pass two weeks ago, it was my last semester(AD program) I needed a 78(our passing grade) on my final and ended up with a 76. I had failed med-surg 1 several years ago, so now I am out of school and out of luck as far as i can tell! I owe $28,000.00 and have where to turn. I have looked at other programs and it is very difficult( damn near impossible) to transfer.

I live in Mass. any suggestions?

Did you go to LM/RC. I went there and failed out of 102/MedSurg. Afraid of going back because if I fail again then I won't be able to finish nursing school. I applied @ another school and got accepted, so I'm trying to decide which school to go to.

What is LM/RC?

Lawrence Memorial/Regis College

Thanks.. I had looked into that program in the past but was discourage because they wouldn't accept all my credits. That was before i was out of my most recent program! I will reconsider them though. Why not try somewhere new, its' great you got in somewhere else!

Thanks and good luck

One of my friends who is graduating with me this month failed out of another program first. She's done fine in this program (even when 1/3 of the class failed out) and will be an RN soon.

Hi,

If you don't mind my asking, what was the name of the second school your friend went to that failed out of the program. Also could you tell me the city and state?

Thanks

How can someone fail out of a RNprogram and get accepted into another. Don't they like not meet the required GPA? I'm curious because I failed last semester and am going to apply to another RNprogram.

It just depends on the particular school and what there requirements are. I know a couple of people that have failed out and were able to get into other programs. You have to search, talk to the recruiters or counselors and tell them your situation. Many times if you have failed and they transfer in nursing classes you will have to take all of them over or they may transfer in some of the ones you did not fail. It just depends. But I would check around.

Although I didn't fail out of school, I had to drop out because of personal reasons. The school that I'm attending understood my situation and even accepted my previous nursing credits. I start this fall and I will have only two semester (ADN program) to complete then I graduate in next spring.
