Gallbladder surgery- recovery time?

I have been having terrible biliary colic lately. Obviously with school I don't have time for surgery. If I had something done on Friday could I be back to class on Monday? I know it is minimally invasive. I SO don't need this now! LOL

Yes, don't wait. I had an attack at work years ago and was on the floor writhing around. It was very embarassing to have that happen in front of everyone and my coworkers has to rush me to the ER.

The recovery time is brief. I could see sitting in class the second day after laproscopic, certainly the Monday following a Friday surgery.

I had my lap chloe done on a Thursday and was back on work the following Monday. The only complication I had was that I couldn't stop vomiting. Per the hospitals protocol I was kept in the hospital 23 hrs following surgery. Luckily I was able to keep down a couple bites of breakfast and the doc let me go home. why is it when you have a surgery like that, the breakfast they give you is greasy bacon and nasty eggs????

lol
