Finally...it's here. The day after tomorrow I will be starting nursing school. I can't describe the feeling. It's like a mixture of dread, excitement, apprehension, uneasiness, happiness... I know I feel blessed though. I stood over my kitchen sink sanitizing it and a feeling of blessed assurance came over me. Realization hit me: I am about to embark on a new and fantastic journey, and forever improve the lives of my family. Never will I be without a job, I will always be able to provide for my children. That's a good feeling. :)
Not as successful as I wanted to be. There were a couple of trick questions, and I guess you can never be truly prepared for your first exam because you don't really know what to expect . I got 45/50, so I could have done worse, and I am thankful that I passed.
NEW NEWS: Remember how I said yesterday that everyone seemed cool? :rotfl: Yea right! "Little-Miss (or should I say MRS)-Know-It-All" reared her ugly head today.
A story for everything, questioning the teacher about terms we went over minutes ago, adding information to our lectures ("So, everyone, you can remember the carpals because that is what carpal tunnel is!") Ummmm... no. :rotfl: I appreciate her vest for the material, I mean I couldn't be upset with someone for really trying to grasp the information, but by Goodness, you are a student too! She is also so rude. As one of the older people in the class (she's in her fourties) she seems to feel the need to treat the younger people stupid. The AC kicked on and some people could not hear the lecture. One girl asked the instructor to please repeat the information for the notes, and this lady says very snottily: "If those who aren't paying attention could wait until she's done and not interrupt her so that the ones who are grasping the concepts can learn, that would be very good." WOA! How rude is that?
I knew we would see some negative sooner or later, but I am still loving it! I'll browse the boards for a while then get off and do my labeling, vocab, and begin reviewing for Monday's exam!
Congratulations on passing your test! That's a 90%, if my math is correct! Awesome! *clap* And WOW on the rude student! Not a real good way to make friends and potential study partners! Sheesh! Keep updating us, kiyasmom! I am loving reading the details. School starts in less than a month for me, and I am obsessing over it! :chuckle
