Favorite Mnemonics / Memory Tricks

Published

Hi there...I was thinking, as I was studying for NCLEX, how many mneumonics and other memory tricks we use. And I thought it would be good to have a thread where people could post what they use, and others could find them and use them. :)

I see there's a thread for acronyms, but I'm talking about mneumonics.

I'll start off :)

The book that we are going to use for a two day NCLEX review is called Nursing Made Insanely Easy by Sylvia Rayfield and Loretta Manning. It is all Mneumonic memory aids but i also have been using Saunders comprehensive review for the NCLEX type questions to review.Good Luck. I learned about this mnemonics book because it has been used the last couple of years for students in both the PN and ADN students at our school to review and we have a 100% passing rate the last 2 years. both books have helped me to also study for tests the last two semesters.

hi, thanks again for the reply. how i wish i can find that book. by the way if don't mind..what school did u came from?...thanks

I have one more semester to go , one of my friends gave me the book but you can probably find it on Barnes and Nobles or half. com, or maybe amazone, they all have new and used conditions if the book is available . One of my friends in class got it from barnes and nobles, there is alo one called Pharmacology made insanely easy, but your mneomics for ACE inhibitors and some of the other meds are also in this book. Where do you go to school and how much longer have you got to graduation.
