What book is it? I'd like to check it out on amazon.com. I gotta see this one!

They are as follows:

Deglin - Davis's Drug Guide for Nurses (w/CD) - required

Delaune - Fundamentals of Nursing - optional

DeLaune - Fundamentals of Nursing (w/CD) - required

Timby - Fundamental Skills Concepts in Patient Care - required

Olsen - Medical Dosage Calculations(w/CD) - required

Kee - Pharmacology - required

American Psychol. Publication Manual of APA - optional

BNS - Texas Nurse Practice Act - required

Could somebody please tell me what all these books are? What is APA? Why so many CD's? Do they help? AAAAAA...stop the insanity!!!

The APA is the American Psychological Assoc. It sounds like the book is probably a style manual, as most papers written (in sciences) are required to be written in APA style.

Sara,

The only good thing is that most of those books will be used throughout your entire program. The drug guide, for example, you will use almost every day in clinical! In my program, our books started out really expensive and were gradually cheaper and cheaper b/c we re-used so many of them. I am going into my last semester and I only have to buy a couple of packets...not one single textbook.

Good luck,

Ami
