Whats The Farthest You Would Drive For A Nursing Program? Whats The Farthest You Have Driven For School?

Luckily, my school is right up the street. On Thursdays and Fridays, I drive 30 minutes to clinicals. It's difficult for me because I have to leave the house at 5:45am. lol

I will be driving about 35 miles each way starting in the Spring. I'm in the evening program so I will hopefully beat morning and afternoon traffic. I haven't driven up there yet but my guess it will take about 45 mins to an hour.

mapquest says its an hour..ha!! I95 in connecticut..takes me about 2 hours in morning..if I get out early enough, its an hour/ hour and a half..when you want something bad enough and its soo togh to get in, I would do this drive again..I do it 3x a week..and my poor teens keep busy helping with the little ones, getting them off the bus, homework, even starting dinner sometimes.hubby works 2 full time jobs, its crazy here, but...only 19 more months of this!!! sooo worth it

I drive 74 miles each way and it is on a mountain. Last semester I totaled my truck driving to school because we had a test and my school is 3000 feet in elevation lower than I am and it was sunny and clear there, but where I live we got five inches of snow on top of a really bad layer of ice. I try to look at it as, with all the driving I do, I was bound to have an accident in 2 years of school and I just got it out of the way early on. I have two nursing schools that are within 15 miles of me, but I will be done in Dec. 2008 where I attend and wouldn't have started until August 2008 for either of those programs!

I drive 55 miles in 50 minutes into NYC. More if there's traffic on the bridge. I listen to my iPod on the radio, or book mp3s. I find it's good to decompress/unwind on the trip home.
