Hey yall!

Just wondering if there are any of us out there still working on pre-reqs - hopeful nursing graduates of 2006?

Roll call! :)

I'm the 26yo mama of two boys (5yrs and 18mos). I work FT right now and am taking my pre-reqs at night. Hoping to get into a BSN program and start my nursing core/clinicals in fall 2004!

thanks everyone, i appreciate your prayers. some days are better than others. heather

My 28 year old cousin was diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma in my neck and lymph towards her chest about 6 months ago..

when I first found out since we were really close i was shocked.

She seems to have beaten it down with chemo.. it was hard but pray a lot.

You'll find the strength LOL

*BUMP*

Amy - Congrats on the job! Have you started yet?

Angela - I'm not at all surprised that you did well on your test, I'm sure you'll get into the program, but that doesn't make the waiting any easier! How are yall liking your new town?

Paleo - Good luck on the exam... I'm so glad we didn't have to take one for our school!

Heather - I'm so sorry to hear that, please know that we'll certainly be keeping your family in our prayers!

Agent - So does that mean you got into the program, or do you know yet?

I start the new job on Monday. I have to show up bright & early at 6:30am to get a physical (I don't think anyone can be healthy at 6:30am!!) and then I sign all the HR papers, then it's off to security to get my badge & after that (finally), I'll go to orientation. I'll be at the hospital from 6:30 til 4:30...and I'll probably be too pooped to pop afterward! Tuesday I'll have another 1/2 day at the hospital for more orientation, then I'll go to one of the clinics to start my dialysis orientation.

It's pretty exciting, actually. :)

I had to drop my pharmacology class for spring quarter though because it conflicted with my work schedule, so it looks like I'll be on an extended spring break. Took my last exam in A&P last night & did horribly, but really at this point, I don't care. I'm just glad to be outta that class. :) No more A&P for me!!!!

I'm 2006, too. This semester I'm finishing up all my prereqs. I already have all the good stuff (A&P, chem, micro) finished so this semester I have to go back and take all the classes that I kept putting off. That's why I'm in 2 lit classes, political science, and a couple of other non-science/nursing classes right now. This semester is b-o-r-i-n-g. :uhoh21:

Mavnurse,

Don't worry this is only temporary.....but I know what you mean about boring courses. I have taken all of my pre-req's also...I have been accepted to an out-of-county RN program...still waiting on the letter from my CC that I'm attending now. So this semester I'm taking 2 Soc. courses Social Gerontology and Understanding Death and Dying. They aren't what I thought they were going to be. :-(
