You could always wait tables part time for the money on the side.

Then quit when you've got enough for the test.

Of course this is only if you are able and have the time and transportation.

shel want where do you go to school? I am attending trocaire college? graduate in Dec 04.

Auray I think if you can't afford it don't take it because you will be graduating soon and when you get the money I might be so close to the beginning of the fall semester that it will just be a waste. Try saving for the RN instead.

I wouldn't bother with the LPN exam. Is it going to do anything for you?

Is it going to chnage your life at allfrom what it is now by having those initials after your name? You are going to be done with your RN training in just a few months, so personally I would wait.

are you working anywhere right now? do you plan on working while finishing your adn program? if not, what will the lpn do for you? if you are working and the lpn would make a wage difference, then by all means try to do it. I tested for my lpn before finishing by program because it made a wage difference of at least $3 an hour. I worked 60 to 80 hours a payperiod so that testing cost was made up with the first paycheck.
