I am starting LPN school in the Fall. A lot of people tell me people do not make it through. Why is that? And why are the classes so difficult?

It all depends on the program. Some are not as hard as others.

Class is hard because nursing is hard! It is a lot of info to understand, and you have peoples lives in your hand eveyday! Expect it to be hard and you will so fine, those who go into it thinking it will be easy will fail.
Good luck, you will be fine!

Just make sure you stay focused, work hard, and relax. The Math can be difficult you have to memorize conversions, and there are alot of them to remember. You have to study for the tests. It's hard to pass those tests when you haven't really studied. Just keep focused and hang in there. Congratulations on being accepted :)

There are as many reasons why some people don't make it as there are nurses. Some individuals decide it's not really what they want. For those of us who "got the bug" it is worth all the blood, sweat and tears!
Nursing requires extreme multi-tasking. Nursing school gives us a taste of that to prepare us.
As someone else stated, "stay focused". This is excellent advice especially when you have rough days, as they will pass.
