I'm just realizing that mine doesn't. Is it only the LPN's and ADN's? How about diploma programs?
I guess I don't really care that mine doesn't. I'll be able to care for many elderly in med/surg.
TIA!

Yes, our BSN program does LTC/psych in one of our first two clinical classes (we do our first clinicals the second semester). The other one is Med-surg.
This Fall they are starting a new clinical intro class that will be in LTC also, in the first semester. Somewhat confusing, they are changing things around a little for the class of 2006.

I will trade you!!! I want nothing to do LTC, but we have too. I think it is first clinical which means hopefully i will get through it and that will that. no more LTC for me
No thanks! I have no desire to do any clinicals in a LTC center, just want to make sure I'm getting all the training I need. I know I will care for many elderly in the med/surg clinicals. Are you in a BSN program? This is all I was asking because I didn't know if it was just the LPNs and ADNs that had to do LTC clinicals.
