Interesting. I'd like to see that answers to this question.
That doesn't sound quite fair. Adults should be free to make their own choices about work or not.
However, there was a recent thread about this and the general concensus is that it's next to impossible to work more than a few hours a week and do an accellerated program justice. I have a coworker who works one 12-hour shift a week, but I'd say 6 out of every 10 weeks she's calling the manager saying she's too busy to make it that week (she's per diem).
I'm in an Accelerated BSN program and we had to sign a contract that we agreed not to work more than 12 hours per week. Only one person in our group works at all and I have no idea how she does it. If admin is saying not to work, there is probably good reason. I was looking for part time stuff before this semester (2 of 4), and I am SOOOO glad I did not find anything. This is way too intense without working! I would be completely insane with even one 12 hour shift a week!

Was anyone asked to sign a contract or statement saying that they would not work while in an Accelerated BSN program?
