A 29 yr. old Newbie from N.J.<m>

Hello everyone,

I posted to a couple of threads not realizing that I hadn't made a proper introduction....:D ......My name is Fatima, I'm married and a mother to 3 children, 2 dd's (who are 7 1/2 adn 5 1/2) and 1 son who is 13 months. I am currently a Pre-nursing major. I was previously an Early Childhood Education major. I didn't feel fulfilled in that program. I have always been interested in nursing but was just ot afraid to pursue it. I am taking Anatomy & Physiology 1 and Chemistry 101 this semester....all at night and every day of the week except Fridays....;) ....lol.....I'm glad I found this board and I hope to make wonderful friendships and find and give encouragement and support.

I just wanted to say hi and welcome to the allnurses boards. I love it here! I took all evening courses when my boys were smaller and my hubby was home to take care of them. I love night classes. They can be a lot of fun since there aren't so many students in them. I wish you the best and welcome you to nursing. See ya "on the boards"!

btw, are you iranian? my husband is iranian, and he has several female relatives that are named fatima. just curious!

tHANKS FOR RESPONDING TO MY POST THE OTHER DAY,YOU WERE MY FIRST. DONT YOU LOVE THIS BB?mY KIDS ARE ALL GROWN,EXPECTING MY FIRST GRANDCHILD IN APRIL,WE WILL FIND OUT WHAT WE ARE GETTING THIS WEEK.I WAS SURPRISED THIS WEEK AT SCHOOL AS I THOUGHT I WOULD CETAINLY BE THE OLDEST(IM 42),BUT I AM RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AGE SPREAD.SCHOOL IS MUCH MORE FUN THE SECOND TIME AROUND.

Congrats on your first grandchild!!!.......It's something how someone is always feeling the same way you are....lol....I felt like gosh, I'm 29, haven't finished any kind of schooling...just starting all over again....but it's all worth it....I got married early...started my family early.....so it's time to focus a little more on me.
