I called the allied health office today to see when interview letters would be going out and the woman chuckled and said "oh they haven't even started looking at the applications yet. you just have to be patient" aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh! I called in april and they said letters would go out in May, well it's may, where's my letter???

Same thing happened to me earlier this semester, the date just kept getting pushed back. Most of my friends know me by my impatience... so I can relate. :)

I'm sorry Angela! I hope you get your interview soon, and I have no doubt that you'll get in! Keep us posted. :)

You're not alone in this one, I'll tell ya! I've heard "Be patient" until I'm ready to become a patient.. on a psych ward! My interview has been scheduled, but it's nothing to really feel good about, since this school is interviewing everyone who took the NET... doesn't matter if they passed or not.. as long as they took it! :uhoh21:

I talked to someone from my school a few days ago, and told them that I just feel like my hands are tied... we can't register for summer classes until the day before... they won't let us get our books, or anything, so there is no reading ahead... I was really frustrated. I was talking to the admissions office and I said I'd just buy the book now instead of waiting for my financial aid to pay for it when I register - they said no, b/c the instructor can change their mind before the first day of class, and then I'd be screwed over, basically. Of course, I agree with that, but... The thing that really made me mad was when an official joined in the conversation and when someone explained to him that I just wanted something I could "put my hands on" for right now, the person handed me a pencil. I looked at it kinda funny, I suppose, because he explained his thought to me, "There you go.. it's a pencil.. you can use it to bite on.. so you'll shut your mouth!" Ohhhhhhhh.. I did some biting of my tongue that day, I'll tell you... That one comment alone has given me enough reason to say I don't even care anymore whether I get into that program or not. I still want to be a nurse, but I think his comments were totally uncalled for.

I am waiting for my grades to post this term so I can send the last transcripts to all 3 schools I applied to. I have been driving everyone nuts around me with crazy scenarios while waiting the next 6-8 weeks (or more) for the answer to come back. My latest scenario is what if I go home after work and check caller ID and see the nursing school had called and I check my VM and they did not leave a message...I am not well :rotfl:

I honestly cannot imagine how driving home in rush hour traffic next month will be when the date is close for the letters to arrive. I am seriously thinking about having my friend drive me to work and from work so I won't get road rage on some undeserving person driving at the same time

Life is always that way. Hurry up and wait. And if you get tired of waiting, it doesn't seem to help at all. Good luck to you all!

ooooohhh man, I have no words. I probably would have jab that pencil in this guy's eye or something.

Angela,

Nursing school administrators don't really care about any of this stuff because they are constantly bombarded with countless applications and enquiries from the billions of people who apply for the 50 or so spots.
