Hi DG,
I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
I am in Pittsburgh and don't know much about the Cleveland Area but have you taken a look at the hospitals website? Now a days a lot of hospitals post information on where to stay, maps, etc. if you have be there for a relative. Some of the Larger Hospitals even have Resource Centers where you can that kind of information and can even direct you to area hotels where you may be able to get a discount rate.
We have been to Cleveland Clinic on several occassions for our son. It is a wonderful facility. Unfortunately I dont know much about the adult side of things as we dealt with the peds stuff. I do however know that they have an excellent patient rep. program that can and will help you find resources. Best of luck to you and your husband.
Cleveland Clinic is a huge place. I went to the clinic when we were trying to get pregnant (two children conceived with the help of the clinic). I loved the nurses there, they were so great.
As far as places to stay, I really don't know because I live in the area so we didn't have to worry about that, but I would bet that you could call them and get some information about hotels around the clinic.
Best of luck and prayers to you and your husband.

My husband has to go to the Cleveland Clinic in the near future for heart surgery, he needs the rotoblade surgery to open his circumflex artery. He has had 2 CABG's and one stenting. We live in WV, about 300 miles from the hospital and I was wondering if any of you have any useful informaton about the Cleveland area that we may need (lodging, etc.). Have any of you been there before? I've checked out the website and it looks like a huge place.
I'm supposed to start my last semester on Monday the 18th, and I'm worried about missing classes and clinicals. I've already spoken to my instructors, they seem understanding and are willing to work with me on time needed off, etc.
Any and all prayers are also welcomed. Thanks.
