I just saw this at the top of the discussion list, even though we can't vote on this poll any longer........It strikes me.......I see many positive responses here to the nursing profession. So frequently we dwell on the negatives and this line of thought made me feel good. I'm not as strange as I thought......there are others out there. I am going to start a question line of why do you remain in nursing?
I know why I do.....I'm just curious what keeps the rest of you? Maybe we can turn some our recruitment issues around with sharing these thoughts, with the public.....At least we can rejuvinate ourselves by having some of our feelings validated.
i will post my question. please respond...I'd love to hear from you.

I've been a RN since 1993, graduated from nursing school in my early 50's and do not regret it in spite of the problems in the medical profession. Plan to explor travel nursing. Cheers to all my coworkers.
