I gonna apply for Stanbridge College (private school), but Im confused that the private school is better than public school? Because I heard that public school have a long waitlist and I dont wanna waste 1-2 years for waiting. So please give some advices about this.

Thank you so much.

The quality of the program doesn't really depend on whether a school is public or private; it depends on the quality of education offered, which can vary drastically from school to school regardless of whether public or private. However, the price of public schools generally tends to be less than the price of private schools. That may be one reason why public schools see a longer wait list than private schools. When looking into schools to apply for, one of the first things you should find out is if they are accredited by the state board of nursing, and whether they are accredited by one of the two agencies that accredit nursing schools, ACEN and CCNE. Also research first time NCLEX pass rates- that will give you insight into how well the school prepares students for the minimum competency licensure exam.
