When to start applying for jobs

I'm graduating in December, hoping to take my NCLEX as soon as possible after I'm eligible. I've been working as an LPN since Feb. after I passed my PN boards. I will have a job as an RN at my current workplace, however my goal is not to work LTC long term.

Thus the need for the job search, but I'm wondering when to start applying?

Thanks, I will start applying now then.

I just didn't want to apply too soon and be ignored, but do want to get a jump on things.

Apply now. It takes HR a while to process applications, conduct 1st & 2nd interviews, then do a background check & make an offer, etc. A delayed start date for a new grad is perfectly acceptable. You'll be competing with other new December grads in your area, so don't delay - especially so if you are wanting a specialized area where the positions for new grads are slim and get scooped up right away.
