I've seen on several posts about giving out copies of your profolio to units you are interviewing with. I was wondering what was usually in the profolios and if you had any job search suggestion for a soon to be :) new graduate nurse.

Thanks,

portfolios are a good idea! it definately impresses your interviewer and it makes you looked organized and prepared! I have one and I gotta say that when I handed it to my interviewers, they both kind of gave each other that "wow, this is impressive" look to each other. major brownie points! =)

My first page is my cover letter, make it specific to whom you are interviewing with instead of "To Whom It May Concern". Instead put "Dear First Name, Last Name:" It's nice to be directed by your name.

Second page has my resume, one page.

Next couple of pages I have my reccomendations (3 of them) then my list of references and my most impressive clinical progress report sheet that I did for my pediatric rotation.

Good luck!
