Western Slope Colorado

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Hello everyone! I am a new ER nurse looking to relocate to Western Colorado with my wife to be near family. I am looking in Montrose, Delta, Grand Junction, and Glenwood Springs. Does anyone know what kind of pay I can expect in this area with a BSN? Obviously Colorado is a relatively expensive place to live so I want to make sure it's even financially possible for us to move. Also, if anyone knows of hospitals that offer loan forgiveness programs that would be awesome. I know the VA in GJ does but I do know know how much. Thanks in advance!

I left Colorado so long ago that anything I could tell you is hopelessly out of date. I lived briefly in Grand Junction ( between apartments and jobs) with my parents, and it seems like a pretty nice place. I worked LTC because they were willing to hire short term. My dad was in the GJ hospital for a long time, wasn't always impressed by them but have to remember the situation I was viewing it from. Again, long time ago.

But there is great skiing nearby!

Hope someone has some newer info for you.
