waiting after nclex to work?

Hello everyone. I graduate in December and will be taking the nclex shortly after. However, my husband and I were thinking of starting a family before I start working as an RN. I want to work at an inpatient psych unit, and I don't want to be pregnant around the combative and violent patients, so I wanted to have a child in january, and then begin working as an RN a few months after. My main concern: will I have trouble getting hired if I don't use my license right away? Any advice is welcome, thanks!

I'm confused - are you already pregnant or not?

Because if not you won't be having a baby in Jan.

In that case start working first.

Even if you only get a few months under your belt.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I graduate December 2016, so I would plan to get pregnant in april/may coming up to be due after graduation.

Pregnancy don't always happen when u want it. Enjoy today and worry about tomorrow tomorrow

I "decided" to get pregnant about five years ago and I'm only a few months along. You may or may not have better luck, but I wouldn't recommend too much planning around what might happen.
