Thankful for being a nurse?

Today, I'm not so sure if I am thankful for being a nurse. I'm not sure. Some days I feel accomplished and some I feel lowly and incompetent.

I feel such anger sometimes, such happiness at other times.

Sometimes I feel torn in a million directions. I have 2 family members at my desk each from different families. I have needy residents who need a new grad nurse to teach them. I have dietary, and even the technicians/custodians asking me questions at the same time.

I just needed to vent. =(

I believe each and every one of us can empathize with you. We all have our up days and our down days. We all feel pulled in many directions at times. It comes with the job.

Hope you find comfort in knowing you are not alone with your feelings.

It is comfortable to know that I'm not alone. I never imagined the responsibility I would carry. It feels like everyone comes to the nurse, whether someone needs their loved one's cared for or because the dang fridge is broken.

The nurse nurse ... only the nurse can save us all. Lol okay.

I guess I'm feeling better now. =P
