Hi everyone,

I am applying to the TTU adult gero acute care np program and have questions!

1. I have experience in acute care, which by definition is experience taking care of acute or chronically ill patients in a hospital. Does this meet the admission requirements?

2. If you have been accepted already or are currently in the program, can you list what your qualifications were?

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you!

I'm not in this particular school but I am in the AGACNP program in another state. Yes, if you are in acute care and wish to continue in acute care as an NP then this is the correct track. Most acute programs require at least one to two years experience in acute care to be eligible for entry.

I was accepted into my program because I had many years ICU experience, a high GPA (3.92) and a CCRN certification.

Thank you! I wasn't sure if critical care experience was required. Good luck on your course work!
