I am about to take the TEAS. Been studying for a month and a half now. Did anyone think the TEAS book is harder than the actual exam? Or is it very similar? The information in the study guide..should i focus on all the materials that are given in the review section only or shall i review more? Please help...I am bad at these test and would be appreciative of any suggestions.. Thank you! :wink2:

I would augment your studying with purchasing the online assesment thorugh ATI website--it simulates the actual exam and is indicative of the type of questions you will see on the exam itself

I took the TEAS test over the summer and it is quite frankly a piece of cake! It was so much easier than I imagined it to be. I purchased a Nurse Entrance Exam book to study for it and it was way beyond what the TEAS test tested on. (I eventually had to take the NET exam for another school and did really well too).

Definitely go over the subjects that are on it, but if you have taken a handful of college classes then you will be fine with this test. I ended up scoring above the national average!:typing

The sections that I am having trouble on is the Chemistry and Physics. Do you remember if these sections were as difficult as the book?

Almost not at all for Physics, and Chemistry is VERY baisc, more-so terminology than the formulas. Most of it was basic A&P and biology. If you feel comfortable in those areas then you should do fine.:typing

That's GREAT that you did well! I wanted to ask you also, the way that the online assessment set up the test..does the TEAS give you explanations like the online practice does?

I thought the practice exam was very similar to the test. If you are good academically, then this test is a breeze. Its a three hour test that only took me 40 minutes to finish. But if you aren't comfortable with some of the subject make sure to review. But it is not as serious as most people think it is! Good luck!

Make sure to practice the math portion without a calculator. We weren't allowed to take in calculators. That was the toughest part for me. The TEAS is a timed test, and I ran out of time on the math portion.

Thanks everyone! I got a 80!!! yes the test was a breeze but i used up all the time for each section going back to recheck answers and all. I'm a slow test taker =)

Congrats on doing so well! See what I meant when I said it is easier than what most people think it is? Good luck on getting into your school of choice, I start in January!:nurse:

Good luck 2 you too!!! I'm sooo excited!!! =D

I'm about to take the TEAS exam in a couple of weeks and am extremely nervous because I'm not a good test taker. I purchased the study book and am hoping that it'll ease my fear.

Anyway.... how soon after you take the test do you get your results? And are the questions that are in the study guide the same on the test? I know sometimes study guide questions can be harder (or easier) than what you see on the actual test.

Thanks for the feedback!
