iam getting ready for my cna state exam tomorrow 12-18-08 and iam sure with no problem the test will be ok however iam hearing all kinds of scary things regarding the skills but most of all the blood pressure as i have noticed in clinicals you can take a blood pressure one time and then again and there both not going to be the same so i dont know how the testers think you should have or get what they are iam a little worried because those double steths are not really good and its hard hearing with them on especially if the other person moves, i just pray that things goes well for me and i wont get chosen for that skill say a prayer for me i will let you all know tomorrow how it goes :):(

brysgrl,

don't think the worst. i was last to go out of my class and was panicky all day for no reason. yes, i was nervous, but once in there i remembered my training. just take 5 deep breaths and remember how professional you were with the clinicals and show that same attitude in the test. you will do fine and happy, prayerful thoughts are with you.

good luck

Take a deep breath......then,go in and do your skills. One person can hear

one thing and your examiner hear another.I think it has to do if you are within the correct range.I wish you the best of luck :redpinkhe.

I am sure you will do just fine. It took me a long time to feel confident about blood pressures. I try to pay attention to not just the sound but the little "bounce" in the mercury or bead as well. Practice as much as you can! It's not that bad and nobody expects you to be perfect. :) good luck!

PS also when I took my skills test; I was told that if I forgot to do something to tell the instructors as soon as I realized it. There were some pretty minor things that I almost forgot that I mentioned just in case, and I passed with flying colors.
