  1. I agree with one of the other posters....I would inform her of how long the medication would take to infuse and ask her (only for her own safety,of course ) to go home or get some coffee while the med is hanging.

Take a deep breath......then,go in and do your skills. One person can hear one thing and your examiner hear another.I think it has to do if you are within the correct range.I wish you the best of luck :redpinkhe.
  3. I think that we are all responsible for caring for the patient.Whether it is getting ice water or cleaning a poopy butt.If you look at the big picture instead of the smaller one,you will be ok.
  4. Nike shox or Merrell,I love them both.
  5. Hello all, Well,I am almost ready to hang it up.My problem is that I have no idea of how many seizures that I have per day.I try to look on the good side and be upbeat and positive, but it is so hard.
  6. Those types of comments are made by the uninsured pt. They think that it gives them power.
  7. Hello, There one question that I want to ask you,Are you prepared for a change in the way that they treat you ? Think about it......
  8. Sorry, but it is your job to get the "doo-doo" off of the floor and to clean any substantial mess. The housekeepers can then go over the floor to disinfect.Think of your pt. and how they feel.We All do things that aren't our jobs.It all goes hand in hand.

  10. At sea, I am so sorry that this has happened to you ((( At sea ))).I am always afraid of it happening to me,but I agree with the other posters.Look for another job and try not to let this impact who you are and all that you are about.People don't think about the fact that something could happen to them and where would they be ?..In the same boat....niali
  11. Hello All, I feel so stupid....My A& P II grades are bad.I study SO hard and Nothing is working.I feel like giving it all up.:banghead:It is just my first test. This semester is bad,I cannot get a tutor.I am having thoughts that I won't get in the program because of my seizures.
  12. Hello, I am now in A&P II.It is so hard for me.The first two quizzes,I have failed.I study and study, but I feel so lost .
  13. Hello, This will be a whinning session.I am in A&P II.It is the only thing that I do besides working.I feel SO stupid when these concepts are placed in front of me.My memory is not that great anyway.I am so tired...and this class just started. Niali:banghead:
  14. I work in the hospital setting which is a lot different.I worked in the LTC setting for over ten years and yes,the patients there seem to appreciate the CNA's a bit more.
  15. Greetings, Have you noticed how rude and disrespectful that our patients have become ? I was never stressed about the work that I did (well, maybe a little )because others DO NOT pull their load. But lately, our patients are nasty and demanding...Have a story ? Share it.........
