Second degree: NET Required?

Nurses General Nursing

Is the NET required if you already have a bachelors degree in another field? If so Y?

The NET is the Nurse Entrance Test. The school you want to attend determines whether or not you have to take it. Each program has different requirements for admission. Most schools do require you to take some kind of entrance exam (NET, HESI, etc) and pass with a minimum score. The best thing to do is check with your school's nursing department to see what's required for admission.

I had a BS before I started nursing school. I was required to take the NET.

Specializes in Pediatrics!.

I also had a BS and needed it. Like LexCourben says- Its a Nurse Entrance Exam.. Its not like a reading exempt test. Even though you have a degree, you may want to brush up on math skills and reading comprehension. They sell study guides all over the place- ebay, amazon, and bookstores, eriworld .com and probably your own college bookstore- GOOD LUCK

Ok I will do dat. I thought it was some type of placement test.
