For me, this wasn't that serious. They checked my vitals and made sure i could do some range of motion exercises and a vision test as well as collected a urine sample for my pre-employment drug screening.

I've never heard of anyone being told "You can't work here because ______."

I just went to my pre-employment testing on Monday. I went to the lab for blood work, urine drug screen and the physical included; vision screen, blood pressure, vaccination history and health/family history. I was not weighed on a scale but was asked my weight verbally. In my opinion, this screening is to access if you have serious a serious disability/disease that will interfer with your ability to perform the job. There was no lecturing, only words of encouragement as I begin my nursing career! Don't worry!!!

That was my experience also....

I actually had the same exact experience as jerzygirl on Monday. I also had a PPD done too. It hurt sooo bad and currently looks like a little pimple (w/o a head) and there's a little redness (a little smaller than a pencil eraser.) I know I have to wait until tomorrow for the official results, but if it stays like that is that normal? I know it has to be greater than 10mm to be positive for TB, but in the past when I had PPD I never had any marks at all. I'm scared to death!!! Thanks!!
