thank you kelly, it has been a long haul but I finally made it with continued persistance and determination..I thought I was never going to get it but it finally happened. I am nervous because I still feel like I don't know a hole heck of a lot but I do know that it's normal to feel that way so here goes......thanks again....
Hannabear1,
Your feelings on "not knowing a whole heck of a lot" are normal. I have been an RN for 4 years and there are still a heck of a lot of things that I don't know. I have come a long way though and so will you! I recently purchased a book at Borders called "Your 1st Year as a Nurse" by Donna Wilk Cardillo, RN. It gives excellent pointers on what to expect and how to handle the first year which is undeniably the toughtest as you are doubting your skills and judgement. I felt the same way when I started out back in 1997! I highly recommend this book for all new grads and experienced ones as well. We are never too old to learn a thing or two and learning is a lifelong process. The ISBN number for that book is 0-7615-3333-8.
Good Luck! You'll be just fine!
Kelly:)
