Plantar Fasciitis tear

Hello fellow nurses, I have been in nursing for 20 years, 12 hour shifts 3 to 4 days a week. 12 months ago I started to have heel pain to the point of crying when I got home. I took motrin 800mg 3 times a day and iced the area. I was told by a foot and ankle surgeon that I had PF in both feet with a large tear in the left foot, he recommended surgery, that was 6 months ago. I opted instead for conservative treatment of physical therapy and a walking boot. this has not made things better. Now I am considering surgery. I work for 4 surgeons who all have various opinions about it. I was wondering if anyone has had surgery for this and how long it takes for full recovery. I can't afford to be out of work for long but I also can't be in pain all the time. Help me please. I need some good advice from nurses who have been through this. Thanks in advance...

Per TOS, we are not allowed to give medical advice. I hope I'm not over stepping to say to get opinions from orthopaedic surgeons, ideally someone who is a foot and ankle specialist, even Fellowship trained. Best wishes and good luck.
