I have a palm pilot that I bought with the sole purpose of using it at work. Fact is though, that I really don't use it at work at all. The people that I know that use them quite regularly are those that are in the clinic setting or in a slower hospital setting. I quite honestly don't have the time to use the thing. But I do have the ABG decoder, epocrates RX, and epocrates qID downloaded and they are pretty good. I don't know maybe I will use the thing more when I get a hard case and a belt clip. Hope this helps.
Kelly,
if you decide to get a palm, here is a site with a bunch of software that you could use:

hope this helps.
I have a Handspring visor, which i use in clinicals every week. I chose the Handspring over the palm because the handspring has more options for add-ons. You can buy more memory, and store more. I love it, although on busy days, it is not very practical. Medscape also has a full drug reference guide for both the visor and the palm. It sure helps me stay on time, and know when everything is due.

I am wondering if anyone out there uses a palm pilot or handspring unit while at work? I am thinking of getting one, and hear that Palm makes one for healthcare professionals. I am interested to know if you can download a drug reference, make up a useable "brains" sheet or anything else cool like that. Thanks in advance!!
