i've worked in some sort of medical field for the last 10 years and i've acquired tons of scrubs that i just don't wear anymore. you know the kind, too little, too dingy, too big, etc.

they keep piling up around the house in various places but i just can't seem to just throw them away! i've mowed the lawn in scrubs, i've scrubbed the floor in scrubs, i've washed the car in scrubs, i've slept in scrubs........i've tried every way i know to wear these things to a frazzle so i can toss 'em in the trash and it's just not working.

what do YOU do with your old scrubs?

I always buy my scrubs off Ebay (yes Im addicted) and normally they are either too small or too big, or after wearing them once or twice I dont like them that much anymore. So I sell them on Ebay, and most of the time, I make more money than I bought them for. :rotfl:

My kids actually duke it out over them!

I'd sell them on Ebay.

The ones that still appear serviceable I donate to our local gospel mission. Our local mission tends to steer homeless women into caregiving/livein jobs. Our welfare to work programs also push clients into CNA and MA programs. I dont mind hepling people that are attempting to help themselves. The really ratty ones are good for cleaning or yardwork. When I make scrubs. I always try to save a little fabric for quilts. I have a quilt made and almost done (needs binding) with scrub fabrics.

I have a ceremonial "burning of the scrubs". We roast weiners and talk about all the docs and patients (you may take the symbolism any way you want :rotfl: )who have driven me batty and then toast the new scubs with a wish that they bring nothing but happiness and harmony to all who are around them!
