Hello!

I'm an aspiring Nurse in B.A. and I am very thrilled, to finally be able to put all my ducks in a row and get my life going, as I'm a very responsible and empathic person I feel I fit the bill as a nurse I can also work well under-pressure and I already have a Associate's in Respiratory Care I know I can handle the sight of blood, broken bones etc, but researching payscale in Puerto Rico (where I reside) I found out that the HIGHEST a nurse here gets paid is around 30,000 dollars, at the local Veteran's hospital (which is a federal building) the average for a Nurse with a B.A. is 22,000 dollars I am honestly SHOCKED that nurses are so underpaid here, even a CRNA gets paid around 72,000 dollars (top %) which is still considerably low, however I'd like to know if any other practices here in P.R. are allowed but also well paid, (Nurse Practitioner unfortunately is not an option for me since P.R. Law prohibits the practice, stupid I know but thats that), moving state side is an option as I already lived a year in Florida and I have family I visit ocasionally in NY and Texas, however I'm not about to JUST jump the pond just cause, I really want to give my piece of land the chance to let me grow, before I ever actually really consider moving Stateside

Leave P.R., there really is no other option if you want to make money. All those salaries are terrible in any part of the US. While progressing it is still a "Second" world country and salaries with reflect that.
