New & not sure what to do!

I'm new here and not sure what to do! Im 31 years old, have a few college credits in my past. I'm going to meet with a counselor at the community college in our town next week. I would LOVE to go for my RN degree. My husband and I both work full time and have two kids in elementary school. We need my income. Is it impossible to get my nursing degree part time, work full time and continue to raise my family? My husband would be supportive but i know it would be stressful? Thank you in advance for your help! :)

It can be done!! I worked full time on the weekend and went to school during the week. I was also a single mom. Many have done and I know if you are serious about nursing you can to.

Thanks so much for your quick reply!! I think i have quite a few Gen Ed's to finish but I'm not sure so I'm going to meet with a counselor next week. I think I can do it too! I sure hope so anyway!

If you have the support of your husband and family, then yes, anything is possible. Talking to the advisor is a good start. The main problem might be the clinicals and how that might clash with your work schedule because it's very difficult to clinicals on a work day, since most clinicals are during the day.

It can be done. A lot of people work full time evenings and go to school during the day. It's difficult because it's a lot of work, but it will all payoff in the end.
