I got my RN license last week.I want some advice on where to start.I want to work in the hospital but I'm not sure which department....Until now I did not post my resume ...I'm confuse..because I dont have much experience...although I work in the hospital at the telemetry unit for 5 months but that was 3 years ago.I need some advice...:)

Hey! I just started working as a nurse this year and I am starting out on a Med-surg/Peds Unit. I love it cause you see a variety of patients. Definitely a good med-surg basis is a must for a new nurse...6 months later I feel more confident and now will be moving on to a telemetry/icu unit in the next few months. Best of luck to you!:nurse::yeah:

If your goal is to work at a hospital, you might encounter some difficulty with finding a new grad RN orientation program at this time of year. The typical strategy for most brand-new RNs is to apply for hospital positions several months before you graduate and receive your license.
