Mass General New Grad Critical Care Program??

Hi Everyone,

I am graduating in December with a BSN, currently living in Denver, CO. I am doing my senior practicum in the SICU at a local hospital. I visited Boston in May and fell in love with the area and have pursued some positions there. Today I received a call from a recruiter from Mass General Hospital in Boston as I had sent them my resume a couple weeks ago. We talked about their New Grad Critical Care program and I am very interested.

The difficult part is that I don't know much about the program other than what they have told me. I'm hoping some of you out there have some experience or knowledge about it and can share some of that with me. I'm wondering how well it prepares you for ICU care, how well the program is received, if it's all it's cracked up to be, the reputation, the training. Anything you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

Specializes in Maternity, quality.

I don't know much about their program (I'm still pre-nursing myself), but there was a great series in the Boston Globe following a woman through this program. I'm posting the link below. You may have to register (it's free) with boston.com, but it was a great series and might help answer some of your questions. Good luck!

Does anyone have contact information for someone who I could send me resume to or who could send me more information about this program? I'm also very interested.
