Maryanne is doing well......

Published

She is coming home tomorrow, she is still in her induction phase of chemo and we won't know till next week IF she is in remission. I have my fingers and toes crossed.

I had to leave school till next year to care for Maryanne but the good news is that I can start back where I left off, so I'll only have 6 months till I graduate.

Maryanne will see the Dr twice a week, and have to be hospitalized q 3 weeks for 3-5 days, also if she gets sick she'll need to go in. I apprecaite all the prayers that the posters here have given. I started a homepage for Maryanne that will be updated prn, so if anyone is interested, bookmark it.

So good to hear from you. I told you we would be here.Seems like you had reason to celebrate the holidays. I'm glad to hear the good news, and what a great picture, she's beautiful. Oh, the power of prayer and positive thinking. Keep us posted !!!!!!

I am glad for the update on your daughter. I will lift her up in my prayers for continued healing. She is beautiful, by the way. I am also going to pray for you...a mom in your situation needs prayers too. I am especially touched at how you have put your daughter's needs for care in front of your own schooling. You will make a wonderful nurse, I can tell.

Such a sweet little one!!! I'm adding all of you in my list of prayers. I'm on retreat at the end of Jan and will offer my weekend for Maryanne and for you. One of my favorite aunts is also Maryanne!

How wonderfully beautiful! Definitely a gift from God! I'll pray for her and for your family...

Thanks everyone, she has been home since yesterday and so far so good. She can't climb the stairs any more, her counts are still so low, and the fact she's been in bed a month doesn't help. I make her try to climb them though to build strength and I stand behind her. I've been taking her BP, temp , pulse, and blood sugar with a glucometer, and doing her mouth care 4x a day. I've been taking Nursing notes as well, Dr says "keep a diary" LOL, little does he know, he'll have the PDR instead of a diary, I've been documenting EVERYTHING!!!

Everyone, keep praying, her bone marrow aspiration is Thursday to see if she's in remission.

Sheryl,

Glad to hear she is doing okay !! I was wondering how she was doing ! I'm sorry that you had to put school off-but it will always be there.

I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.
