Just like a pill

Nurses General Nursing

Published

I heard Pink's new song "just like a pill". I thought I heard something that wasn't so nice to all of us hard working nurses.

"I said I tried to call the nurse again

But she's being a little bi***

I'll think I'll get out of here"

Just think of all those little kids repeating this. It is truly a shame because I liked the song other than this one line. What does everyone else think?

Jenny,

Make sure you stop for the pie. It is the best in the land. Have fun in La Crosse.

Just wondering, has anyone ever seen this "Pink"? I saw her the other day on something my little sisters were watching, she looks like she could be a man! Or was a man at one time! She's got the male figure!

A visitor called me a "Prejudiced Bytch" once [i had the NERVE to enforce the visiting regulations]. I'm not a prejudiced b****, just a regular b****, I replied. Meanwhile, I had been working w/mom for 6 or 7 hours, breastfeeding and dealing w/social work so she could take the baby home in the first place!!! :rolleyes

i don't know what i think...i got the cd when it first came out and was totally shocked by the statement. sometimes i think it's just a song, a form of expression...not meant to generalize...who knows. i am also the person who believes that parents have a lot more input into their kid's lives than video games....so i really shouldn't get angry about it or take it to heart.

i agree with heather...."And who can honestly say they haven't met a b**chy nurse?" hey, even i have b!tchy moments. don't we all?! :D

I like pink

like the song

think shes incredibly creative

think that there are B*tches in every profession

and nursing is no exception

and I think by listening to her lyrics

its not like she is singing against nursing and whatever, infact shes talking about some kind of a relationship breakdown and comparing it to morphine addiction.

we read into way too much in life

lets not start an assault on song lyrics now too..

dont like her, dont listen to her

I dont think she is the next elvis so I'm sure her imprint on the youth of today won't last too long.....

cheers

plus how realistic would the song be if she sang

"i tried to call the nurse again, but she was already in my room , shes so great , that nurse yay nurse woohoo, I think I'll stay here forever"

Nurses do make patients wait, we have no choice in the matter, cant be in 5 places at one time, mathmatics and logic are against it

so pink youre gonna wait damn you!

i happen to like "pink"! oops! sorry about that......that is not the "pink" website i found her on before.. didn't even know that existed...really i didn't. :chair: i'll have to get back to you on that one. anyway...everybody gets called the "b" word once in their life. awwww heck.....i've heard kids call their own mothers the "b" word behind their backs. and nope.......i never would have called my own mother the "b" word because my mother had supersonic hearing, and would have kicked my butt from ohio to northern california had i said something like that to her. we can always email pink for her take on why she chose that particular word in her song when singing about a nurse. in the song, she was "on drugs"....who is in their sane mind when they have a brain full of crapola anyway? :D :chuckle:chuckle
