hi everyone, im currently licensed as an RN from a different state, particularly in NY and i got married 2 months ago and moved to California. transferring the license from NY to Cali takes time. i'm wondering what jobs are we allowed to apply for while waiting for the process/license endorsement?

You may apply anywhere that will accept your application without a license. Most employers want a license in hand before they'll bother with you, though. They are well aware of how long it can take .

Thank you, that was encouraging. But i haven't landed one interview. Are you aware of any job i can apply for, hopefully related to our field but wouldn't require any more certifications and trainings?

Again, Thank you.

Unfortunately, that's not easy either ...because they know you'll pack up and leave as soon as your license does come through. A temp job that requires very little to no training would probably be your best bet. Anything else probably wouldn't be worth it for you or them.

You are "allowed" to apply to any job you want. You cannot begin working as an RN until you have a license. If you're just looking to make a little money while you wait for the license, substitute teaching worked for me in college.

I've been reading threads here and i noticed that there are a lot of international graduates having a hard time endorsing their license to CA 😩 i myself is an international graduate. Graduated from PHils 2008. Can this be a little less frustrating 😨

Thats a good point. I'm a little more frustrated knowing that its harder for international graduates to be endorsed to CA. í ½í¸°
