Is this questionable?

I had some cosmetic surgery on my face awhile back. The nurses tending to me pressed the gauge so deep into my nose that it hurt really bad. My mouth and throat was scratched up really really bad that I was getting severe shooting pains from the throat area. I noticed alot of bruising around the throat area. I believed I may have been mishandled or handled carelessly when I was under general anesthesia. When I got home I noticed these discomforts and was quite concerned. I think the scratchiness came from then intubating me. She did say that I had been very difficult to intubate. But I think she may have tried forcing the tube down my throat. Is this normal when trying to intubate patients or does it sound like I may have been roughed up a little because of nurse impatience with the difficult intubation? I was under so I wouldn't have been all the wiser when it was happening.

Intubation is not a benign procedure. It has very serious risks which include trauma to the airway, throat, neck, mouth, teeth, face, nose, etc.

Only your health care provider can address your concerns regarding your care. Please contact him/her to discuss your concerns.

I am really sorry you are still suffering after your surgery and Jolie has answered some of your concerns really nicely.

It would be inappropriate for any of the members here to speculate what happened during your surgery the questions you ask should be posed to your healthcare provider
