If you enjoy your job, please state what you do, how many pt's you have during a shift and how much overtime you put in?
Thank you,
Wendy
It's great that so many people love their job as an RN. It's always good to love what you do to earn income! The best scenario! I love the idea of helping people with their health too. Unfortunately, the hospital setting isn't always so helpful! I work on-call in a level 3 hospital in Minneapolis. The hospital is famous for their heart surgeries. Guess what they have in the lobby? McDonalds! I find that absolutely ludicrous! The only thing I can think of is the hospital wants to ensure that they continue getting customers! What a pathetic joke!
I keep saying I Love My Job, I Love My Job, I Love My Job.....and I love the work or I wouldn't be here for 7 years this year. I am the LPN charge on the medicare/ skilled unit in a LTC facility. Let's say the only thing I don't do is hang blood,TPN or IV push meds, and that pretty much sums up the nites. I am always busy doing something. I love the elderly, they have been through so much and have such a history to tell us, as we all will when we are old. It's just the few idiots that make it unbearable at times.

I am a senior practice nurse in a busy GP practice and I really enjoy my job. I have been in post for 8 years which says a lot in itself and I have developed an excellent working relationship with my employing GPs. I enjoy my autonomy, level of responsibility and range of skills I have been allowed to develop. I do not do any overtime nor do I work any unsocial hours!!!!
