I'm sad today

As you may know. I am the mother of 5 wonderful teenage boys. What you may not know is only 2 of them are naturally mine.

Today is a big day.

I am happy but very very sad.

2 of my boys are going home to live with their natural father today. I am very happy for them but so very very sad. I thought over the years that I had carefully prepared myself for today, guess not.

I always knew this day would come. That I was just a steping stone until Dad could get it together.

My hat goes of to all foster parents (Iam not a foster parent) just an Aunt.

Thanks for letting me vent

And Sixes, you will never be "just an Aunt" to them.:kiss

Each one is taking a piece of your heart with them.

While this is painful, know that these heart fragments are not simply "gone", but tethered. Hearts have mingled and blended.

You will always be as "one".

May your pain be eased in knowing that each one carries part of you with them.

And that hearts are never too far away.

BIG, BIG HUGS for you.

(((((((hugs))))))). As they mature and become men with their own wives and children, you may be pleasantly surprised that you will be included as grandma. My friend was in a similiar situation and when the kids were grown, they gravitated more towards her then their biological mother. They love their mother, but had developed a bond with their stepmother that they came to value greatly when they had kids of their own. Until then, I hope you draw comfort from the knowledge that you are a great mommy-aunt and put their needs before your own.

I want you to know that you are an awesome person. Giving you a great big hug. I used to be a foster mom and I know that pain.

Take good care of yourself.

Thank you all for your wonderful words. Tony and Willy left about an hour ago. I think I'm done crying for a little while. I will keep in touch with them and I have let them know that my heart and home are theirs whenever they need it.

The next thing that will be hard is WEDNESDAY. We are moving to North Bay so that I can restart my Nursing carrer as it has been on hold since 1999. I just found it too hard to work with 5 boys in the house.

On WEDNESDAY I will be leaving behind my MOM, Sister and the hardest will be leaving my Natural Son Ryan age 17 so he can finish his high school. He maybe joining us in the Bay after but schooling my take him elsewhere.

So many emotions. I'm excited to restart my nursing, sad that our wonderful family is seperating. So many new things to look forward to.

Well I'm rambling. Sorry.

I'll be online until Tuesday. Then I'll lose my fix until I can get up and running again

Thank You all for your words of encouragement, wisdom, and most of all your hugs
