Turning 30 never bothered me but I can't say the same for 40. Making matters worse I am beat all the time.

I am just stretching myself to thin these days. Doing echo from 0630-1200 and then charge nurse from 1400-2230. I only see the kids for a 1/2 hour in the AM. Only 3 more weed of this schedule then I'll just be doing one RN day job. Looking forward to that.

I'll officially no longer be part of the 25 to 34-year-old demographic in a couple of months. The time seems to have passed at the speed of light. :)

However, I am hoping the mass graying of the Baby Boomer cohort will change society's negative views on aging. Actually, it already has...a 65-year-old is no longer considered 'elderly' in American society.

Anyhow, there's light at the end of the tunnel for you, especially once the evening job drops off the radar. Good luck to you, and I doubt the other side of 40 is that bad.

Um 51 here. turning 50 was a little scary, but so far I LOVE it. Very freeing. I look young for my age and I have more endurance than some people half my age. 40s were great (had my second child right before I turned 40). Lots of young people don't want to get "old" but it is funny how that number changes as you get older ;)

age ain't nothing no more!! 40 is the new 20, that sorta thing. Two jobs would exhaust anyone.

It may not be your age so much as your employment circumstances.

I bike for at least an hour five days a week. I think I'm in pretty good shape, and I'm only on one med (and have been able to get it down by 1/2). And I'm older than you.

I will admit that multiple 12 hour shifts in a row are best left to the youngsters!
