Specializes in Cardiac, ER.

I'm serious. You graduate, pass the NCLEX, and become an RN. We all have the same basic education. I started out in a cardiac unit, now I'm in the ER. I did take classes, through the hospital that were required for each job, but no extra "formal" education. There are also many certifications that you can get after you have worked for awhile in your specialty. They usually consist of working a specific amount of time in your specialty, then buying some books, taking a class (may be only a day or two) and then passing an exam. Some of the exams are expensive and very hard but many hospitals will pay for you to take the exam and raise your salary (slightly) for having the certification.

that is great! thanks so much =]
