    My 20 year old son has decided to follow in mom's footsteps and is going to begin nursing school in the upcoming year. When his redneck friends rag him about going to nursing school, including questioning his sexuality, he reminds them he will be surrounded by women all day long at school and later on at work. That takes the winds out of their sails!!! Invariably, they say to him, Hey! I never thought of that, that's a good idea!
    Of course that's not why he's going, but it shuts them up on a level they understand. We live in a very backwoods area of Southern Indiana.
