Hi everyone.....Just wanted to let you all know I'm having a TAH/BSO on Feb. 11th. Thanx to the folks who recommended the HysterSisters site, it really helped me decide on the hyst rather than have the uterine ablation and possibly end up with a hyst after all. Now maybe I can get my life back.....This is probably the celestial wake-up call I needed to focus on my health and re-evaluate my life and priorities, which is what I've needed to do for years but never took the time to do until I lost my job in Dec. (Guess I'll have plenty of it now, what with a four-week wait and a 6-8 week recovery period.) It's taken a few weeks to clear the cobwebs out of my brain so I could even make decisions...that, and a big boost in my Paxil dosage. Now all I've gotta do is figure out what I want to be when I grow up!;)

I have never regretted having my hysterectomy. I only wish I had the oopharectomies at the same time instead of 2 and 4 years later. Good luck and best wishes!!

Does this mean we'll see you around more while you heal? Seems like that's how we're reeling them in these days!

Best wishes to you!

Heather

Good luck to you. I know many women who were absolutely elated after their hyst, no real regrets, except that they wish they had done it sooner!

Congratulations! I hereby bestow you with the princess crown. Be sure to follow the advice on hystersisters, you'll really appreciate it. Things like having drinks & snacks handy help, and I could not have survived without my laptop & phone at bedside. I know people can do it with a desktop PC but it's sooo nice to kick back in bed and chat with everyone, rather than getting sore & tired from trying to sit at the desk.

You'll never regret your decision. Best wishes to you.

RIGHT ON!!!!
