Hello,

I am a Registered Nurse from Iowa and I just want to make sure I am completing the application process correctly before I start paying for everything. I went on the Georgia State Secretary website but it looks like the only option available to complete the application online was if I needed to test for $40 which doesn't match the cost of $75 I saw on the paper application. Is it possible to complete the application online?

I went to register online through the Cogent website and I also saw that there was a $50 charge for the background check. Is that also a correct payment that I should be making? Also is there anything particular I need to put on the fingerprint cards?

I am not sure where I need to go to verify my license through the Iowa Board of Nursing. When I click on license verification it only pulls up the electronic version with no option to send verification to the Georgia Board of Nursing. Should I just pay the $30 through Nursys?

I would attempt to contact their BON. The state can be very particular on the process.
