What does anyone know about gastric banding?? I am considering trying to locate a surgeon to do it, but I have only read articles in magazines and a few that I could find on the internet. I want the goods and the bads. Thanks!!!!

I do not know much about gastric banding. There is one surgeon, that I know of, close to Dallas that performs the gastric banding. He's located in Rowlett. I realize you're in Kansas...I think there's a website specifically for gastric banding...something like http://www.gastricbanding.com (I think?) Good Luck!

I have also been researching out the lapband. I can tell you that a good place to get information is http://www.bandsters.com. I have gotten alot of good reference material from there and there are also a lot of good links from that site. Good luck on finding a healthier lifepath.
